Zeytinburnu Municipality Success Story

THE GOAL OF THE PROJECT

 

Zeytinburnu Municipality has planned to move to the New Smart Building in 2013 and make an advanced technological investment in data storage systems in terms of high accessibility, capacity, performance and business continuity in line with the developing IT needs. Based on this planning, as Bilgi Birikim Sistemleri, HPE's Server, Storage and Network products and Business Continuity Solution were positioned in the infrastructure of Zeytinburnu Municipality.

 

WHAT SOLUTION DID WE OFFER?

 

As a result of the meetings held with Zeytinburnu Municipality IT Manager Yusuf KIRDEMİR and his team, problems in the existing structure were identified in the first place in order to ensure a more stable operation of the system. Zeytinburnu Municipality IT team stated that they want to meet their business continuity needs and extra capacity requirements by actively working on the systems they use, especially in order to ensure that their systems continue uninterruptedly in case of any disaster. In line with these findings and requests, we ensured that our customer's needs were met with HP Business Continuity Solutions.

 

A system room was established at the old address located in the newly built Municipality Palace (Center) and the Wedding Palace area. One HPE 3PAR Storage was positioned in each of these system rooms. Additionally, Cluster Quorum disk space was created to ensure communication between the two locations. This area continuously monitors two locations and ensures business continuity by automatically activating the other location in case of a disaster in one location. This feature is provided by HPE 3PAR's peer persistence software.
